Dr David Tran is a Melbourne-trained General Paediatrician and Divisional Director of Women's and Children's Services at Northern Health. He graduated from the University of Melbourne with MBBS and BMedSci degrees and completed his paediatric training through The Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and has extensive experience across neonatal medicine, general paediatrics and adolescent health. David has particular clinical interests in neonatal and perinatal medicine, newborn growth and development, paediatric emergency care, childhood immunisation, asthma and allergy, and childhood development and behaviour. His research experience includes work in gene therapy for muscular dystrophy and childhood immunisation, including research into adverse events following influenza vaccination. Alongside his clinical work, David has a strong interest in education, community engagement and improving the health and wellbeing of children and families.
